Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy Resonance Tier List Hub
Charms, blades, and six skills ranked for story runs and trophy runs.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is not a gacha game, but it still has loadout decisions. Charms stack by type. Blades swap a combo perk. Six skills each grow a mastery. This hub ranks those three systems so you do not dump 165 Resonance Points into a pretty animation you never press.
Open charms if you are staring at chests. Open blades after a hero grave. Open skills and builds before you buy the third node. Combat how-to stays on the combat guide. Pickup locations stay on collectibles.
How we rank
S and A are things that change group fights on default difficulty. B is nice on a trophy run. C is situational or late. We are not selling a “meta” for a single-player game that lets you respec for free. We are saving you from unlocking the least-used tool first while archers still delete you in Venice.
Charm ranks assume you will find all five of a type. One Bead is a coin flip. Five Beads is a real anti-archer layer. Blade ranks assume you switch when the perk matches the room, not that you marry the Falchion. Skill ranks assume a first playthrough, not a New Game+ that does not exist.
Quick picks for a story run
- First skill: extra dodge if you hate parry windows, Echo’s Return if you do not.
- First mastery: the one that lets your favorite defensive button interact with yellow attacks.
- Charm priority: Arm Bands and Beads before cosmetic-feeling stacks.
- Blade priority: whatever grave you just opened; none of them are traps.
Heritage Pack’s Minoan Sword is extra. It is not required to clear the island. See Heritage Pack.
Why a tier list exists here
Players search “best skills,” “best charms,” and “best sword” on day one of any action-adventure. Resonance has few enough options that a short ranking is more honest than a 40-row spreadsheet. If a day-one patch retunes stagger, we will move rows on the child pages, not on this hub.
For characters instead of gear, go to Sophia and companions. For chapter order, go to the walkthrough. For whether the melee is even for you, go to the review roundup.
Spend points after you have felt two group fights, not in the pause menu during Chapter 2’s necklace cutscene. The necklace opens the tree. It does not tell you how you like to play. The getting started page is the onboarding; this hub is the spend plan.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Can I respec if I follow the wrong tier?
Yes. Skills refund for free. Charms and blades are not respecced; they stack or swap.
Is there a single best build?
No. There is a parry build and a dodge build. Both clear the campaign. Details on skills.
Do I need every charm for a story clear?
No. You need them for Superstitious and for a smoother hard-room. Story will finish with a partial set.
