Chapter Walkthrough

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy has fourteen chapters and no world map. The path is linear, but squeeze gaps, crawl spaces, and off-path chests hide charms and blades. This walkthrough is a chapter index: what the mission is, how many collectables sit inside it, and when to open a specialist page. Pair it with puzzle solutions for light rooms and collectibles if you are hunting 165 Resonance Points in one run.

The campaign is single-player only. Chapter select unlocks after you finish a chapter, but Resonance Points snap back to the total you had at that chapter. Do not use chapter select to farm points.

Counts above match PowerPyx and IGN chapter pages at launch. Chapter 5 also hides the first Pierced Coin. Chapter 8 is a story hinge with no pickups, so do not backtrack looking for a chest.

Chapters 1–3: tutorials and the shore

Blood Ties is childhood plus the first sword. Grab the Handled Cross relic before you leave the bodies. Felons is Venice: aerial kills, hook-yank archers, first Bead and Bracelet, then the necklace that opens skill trees. Those Before Us docks on the island. Read the book with the shoulder button, look at the turtle on the left beach for an achievement, and start scanning the ground for Resonance tokens. A grapple into a watchtower lines up a sketchbook X with a distant mast.

If combat still feels sticky here, stop and read the combat guide. The game will not wait until mid-island to throw groups at you.

Chapters 4–7: trials and the beast below

From Hell It Rose is the first full light-trial wing. Pedestals, floor lines, and wall symbols appear. Use the puzzle solutions page for the three-pedestal room and the paired mirrors. Desolation It Wrought is the second trial and the densest charm chapter (five charms plus a Theseus Echo). What Lies Beneath puts Sophia alone underground with a hunter in the dark. Light is survival here, not decoration. Death It Sowed includes the Khopesh blade in a hero grave and several Resonance clusters; the collectibles video on that chapter is useful if you are mopping up.

Stay greedy in these four chapters. Most of the 30 charms live here. Rank what you find on the charms tier list so you know which type is lagging.

Chapters 8–11: Resonance, night, parallel paths

Chapter 8 is the title beat. No collectables. Play it for story and the dual-timeline swing into Theseus. Night Has Come starts with a chase after a hard story beat involving Leni. Stay near lanterns. Crouch through the opening by the next lantern for the Phosphate Ring relic. Faro is a melee fight at the end of the chapter; Theseus tools and parries both matter.

Parallel Paths is the maze chapter. Sophia’s sketchbook is the real map: each symbol tells you a direction. Inner, middle, and outer rings on the later pedestal puzzle point at serpent, upward arrow, and pronged-F symbols respectively. If you skip the book you will loop. Patera (Greek for father) is a long collectible chapter with 23 Resonance Points and no new blade.

Chapters 12–14: close-out

Fading Light and As One are short on chests but still hide a charm each. What Remains is the epilogue. If you missed a blade or artefact, chapter select after the credits is safe. If you missed Resonance Points, you need another full run or a reload from before the miss.

How to use this wiki during a session

Keep this page for the table. Open puzzles when a room is a light machine. Open collectibles when you want chest-by-chest text. Open skills after any large fight that dumped points. Open Sophia or companions only if you want lore, not routing.

After credits, the ending explained page covers the Minotaur, Theseus, and the Amicia sting. Habit-level advice sits on tips.

The campaign is about 11–15 hours if you ignore side chests, closer to 20 if you take every gap. Official FAQ copy listed approximately 20 hours. Platinum-style cleanup is gated by the 165-point rule, not by chapter select.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Does Resonance have a map?

No world map. Follow the objective, the sketchbook, and squeeze-gap instincts. The walkthrough table is the closest thing to a chapter checklist.

Can I replay a chapter for Resonance Points?

No. Points reset to the total you had at that chapter. Other collectables still count from chapter select.

Which chapter is the hardest to 100 percent?

Chapter 5 for charm density, Chapter 7 for mixed pickups, Chapter 10 for the maze. Use the collectibles page on those three.

Where do I go if a puzzle stops the story?

Leave this index and open puzzle solutions. Light trials start in earnest in Chapter 4.
